Team 10801, with 325 points, placed in the top 10 (of 52 teams) at the State FLL Championship in Honolulu on December 1, 2012. The team also represented St. Andrew's Priory well in the other categories of Research Project, Core Values, and Robot Design.Since October, the team of 4th and 6th graders has learned to build, program, and run an NXT robot; design and strategize; research and present on the topic (challenges faced by the elderly), and how to function as a team, including communication, decision-making, and being able to rely on each other.
